Scarbo is a solo work created by Ioannis Mandafounis and dancer Manon Parent, borrowing its title from a composition by Ravel. The performance is a true gem—an intimate, emotion-filled piece that explores the role of narration in contemporary dance in terms of function, shape, and significance. As Manon Parent dances, the audience becomes increasingly engaged in her inner life, a world full of sadness, anger, joy,
helplessness, and strength. This leaves the audience free to evaluate whether these states are real or deceptive, memories from the past or fragments of a personal story.
