NID Platform (New Italian Dance Platform) is an initiative launched in 2012 with the aim of promoting and supporting the most significant Italian dance productions and fostering open dialogue, offering an opportunity to take stock of the current state of emerging choreography, as well as the trends, languages and practices shaping contemporary dance in Italy.
In 2026, NID Platform celebrates its tenth edition. The event is the result of a shared commitment among dance distribution organisations belonging to ADEP (Associazione Danza Esercizio e Promozione) FEDERVIVO-AGIS, brought together in a Temporary Association of Operators (R.T.O.), with the support of the Directorate-General for Performing Arts of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Regions involved. Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo is organising the tenth edition of NID Platform, taking place in Piedmont from 1 to 4 September 2026 under the title Coreografie del possibile (Choreographies of the Possible).
Teatro Stabile di Torino – Teatro Nazionale and Torinodanza Festival are delighted to welcome NID to Fonderie Limone Moncalieri, an artistic hub that provides a unique space dedicated to dance and its performers.
