Chiara Bersan’s work highlights diverse bodies and challenges the idea of a single standard of beauty by opening new possibilities for expression and representation. Evolving from L’animale (2021), a solo that reworked classical ballet codes on a divergent body, the project expands into a collective creation. In Michel • The Animals I Am, three performers with disabilities share the stage, moving beyond the notion of the disabled artist as an isolated exception.
