NAVY BLUE

Fonderie Limone – Great hall | 22 and 23 September 2023 h 8.45

Oona Doherty

A prominent European women’s exponent and former recipient of a Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale, Oona Doherty expresses the energy and protest of the new generation. Born and raised in Belfast, her performances address social inequality and gender issues through a style that veers from punk to sublime. Navy Blue is staged in a factory, an oppressive place resembling an assembly line, and it explores the workings of power and oppression.
The show is supported by the European BPDA network – Big Pulse Dance Alliance.
