In questo nuovissimo lavoro commissionato da 14-18 NOW, il programma artistico britannico per il centenario della Prima Guerra Mondiale, Akram Khan attinge agli archivi del XX secolo e d\u00e0 voce al sogno sconvolto di un soldato coloniale nella Prima Guerra mondiale. Xenos<\/em> rivela la bellezza e l’orrore della condizione umana raccontando la storia di un ballerino indiano il cui corpo diventa uno strumento di guerra. Il linguaggio del movimento di Khan si sposta tra il kathak classico e la danza contemporanea. In portraying an Indian dancer, whose skilled body becomes an instrument of war, XENOS<\/em> reveals the beauty and horror of the human condition. The language of Akram’s movement shifts between classical kathak and contemporary dance. XENOS unfolds along the border between East and West, past and present, mythology and technology, where humanity still rises in a state of wonder and disarray.<\/p>\n
