If in Lovetrain2020 Emanuel Gat immersed us in the atmosphere of the ’80s with the music of Tears for Fears, in this new production, the choreographer guides us through a blend of classical and rap notes.
Freedom Sonata is announced as an anthem to dance, celebrating collective practice as a means of knowledge and understanding of the world. The choreography, like the music, is free from the need to base itself on external themes and concepts. Gat understands it as a consciousness measured in time, space, and action. The main thrust behind all his works is always linked to the role that the artist claims for art within society: not to imitate life, but to elevate it.
