Questo spettacolo, che ha debuttato nel 1999, \u00e8 stato riallestito molte volte, valorizzando in ogni edizione un aspetto artistico diverso: al centro di quest\u2019ultima, che andr\u00e0 in scena ad Avignone 2014, vi sar\u00e0 un\u2019inedita ricerca sul movimento. Il testo di Liao Yimei racconta la storia di Malu, guardiano di un rinoceronte rimasto solo dopo la morte della compagna. L\u2019uomo ha un particolare legame con il suo amico\/compagno rinoceronte, una sovrapposizione a livello fisico ed emotivo, che include anche alcuni tratti fisici, come la miopia e l\u2019olfatto estremamente sensibile. L\u2019amore per la bella Mingming scatena in lui una furia simile alla carica dell\u2019animale che sorveglia con tanta cura&#8230; Recitato in Mandarino e andato in scena per la prima volta nel 1999, <em>Rhinoceros in Love<\/em> \u00e8 diventato un classico del teatro moderno cinese.
