DANCE MATTERS. DANCE IS IMPORTANT

by Anna Cremonini
Artistic Director of Torinodanza Festival

A festival is a living organism, and as such it evolves over time, taking on different forms and dynamics. Torinodanza is widely recognized and followed; it is EXTRA in the way it unfolds throughout the entire year; it is a place for performances, but also for reflection, experiences, and international relationships. Its beating heart is the autumn program, which in the 2026 edition takes shape as a true geography of movement, where companies from Europe, America, and Asia outline a map of aesthetics that engage in dialogue between tradition, experimentation, reflections on the present, and perspectives on the world. Over the years, I have learned a great deal thanks to the people and institutions that have accompanied me. From the Teatro Stabile di Torino, which passionately and dedicatedly oversees the organization of the festival, and from the City of Turin, which understands the value that an international event brings back to the community. read more »
